Dance Your Way to Fitness

It can be a chore to maintain an exercise or workout routine. You have to push yourself, most times, to stay inspired and motivated — especially if you really need to lose weight. Yes, it is hard work — but who says hard work can’t be fun? Why can’t we have it all: the hard work, the fun, and the amazing results?

One of the best ways to maintain your energy levels and your motivation is to try changing routines. Embrace variety and challenge your body with any of the different workout styles. So, have you ever considered dancing? Do you know that you can burn off all those calories while working your body to a good beat?

Enter Swanlake Studios — the brainchild of the multitalented Ibifaka Ben-Kalio — where exercise and Zumba dance merge to create a perfect combination. Ibifaka is a professionally trained ballet and Latin ballroom dancer, and the owner of Swanlake Studios.

Zumba is a popular fitness program inspired by Latin dance. “Zumba” comes from a Colombian word that means to move fast and have fun, which is exactly how the routine can be described.

Zumba dance mixes a strong body sculpting sequence with easy-to-follow, fun dance steps. Because it is so entertaining you may not even remember you’re working out. So you can exercise longer and burn more calories. Isn’t that what we were talking about? An exercise routine that equals work + fun + results.
