Food Concepts Set To Take It Away At Africa Awards

DYNAMIC brand and market leader in the West African food sector, Food Concepts Plc, has been nominated as finalist in the 2012 Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship. A coveted accolade, the nomination is a clear nod to the company’s successful delivery of its unique offering of World-class, modern African food. The nomination comes hot on the heels of Food Concepts being nominated as a finalist in the Ernest & Young 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The African Awards for Entrepreneurship recognise and award exceptional entrepreneurial leaders who serve as role models to Africa’s aspiring self-starters. Nominees should demonstrate business excellence, innovation and profitability.

Food Concept’s CEO, Deji Akinyanju believes the inclusion on the Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship final list is testament to the company’s vision to revolutionise the food sector in West Africa, both from a business and socio-economic point of view.

Those named as finalists represent the finest of a shortlist of 1200 companies from 50 African countries. “These Awards shine a light on Africa’s most promising entrepreneurs and distinguish them as role models for the next generation of business visionaries,” he said.
