Yahoo! has unveiled a new logo. This replaces its known logo of 18 years. It was launched a few hours ago, looking similar to the previous but “staying true to its roots (whimsical, purple, with an exclamation point) yet embracing the evolution of its products,” says the Chief Marketing Officer of the organization, Kathy Savitt.
Marissa Mayer, Chief Executive Officer, Yahoo!, said, “We unveiled the new Yahoo logo, concluding our 30 days of change. We hadn’t updated our logo in 18 years. Our brand, as represented by the logo, has been valued at as much as $10 billion dollars. So, while it was time for a change, it’s not something we could do lightly.”
