Hull City 0-0 Aston Villa

Sone Aluko featured for the Tigers in their stalemate against Midlands club, Aston Villa at the KC Stadium. The young midfielder cum striker was taken off in the 69th minute for Yannick Sagbo.

Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace

Victor Moses played 66minutes of The Red’s game at home to new boys, Crystal Palace. Luis Alberto replaced the winger. Tiago Ilori and Jordan Ibe who are eligible to feature for the Super Eagles through their parents were on the bench for Liverpool.

West Brom 1-1 Arsenal

Victor Anichebe missed the game through injury. West Brom took the lead in the first half through Claudio Yacob’s header, Jack Wilshere’s deflected shot saved the Gunners blushes.

Cardiff City 1-2 Newcastle

Pete Osaze Odemwingie’s first premier league goal for his new club wasn’t enough to stop them from going down at home to Newcastle. A Loic Remy brace made sure the Magpies went home with maximum points. Sammy Ameobi was on the bench for the visitors as his elder brother, Shola remains on the sidelines with an injury.

Norwich 1-3 Chelsea

John Mikel Obi was left out of the Chelsea squad for the trip to Norwich City. The midfielder became a victim of Mourinho’s rotational policy to keep his squad happy. Fellow midfielders, Oscar, Hazard and Willian won the game for the Stamford Bridge side.
