On May 16, 2015, Jumia Nigeria hosted an exclusive roundtable chat with phone tech bloggers. Reps of popular phone brands – including Infinix, Tecno, Lenovo, LG, Samsung and Innjoo – were in attendance to share their views. Notably, we also spotted some popular bloggers in the room including TechLoy’s Loy Ekezie, and reps from TechPoint and Tech360Ng.
Interactions were exciting and engaging, with deliberations on consumer insights from survey results, and questions by bloggers to brands. The survey was filled by 100 tech bloggers in Nigeria, with questions centred on participants’ personal preferences of phone purchases, operating systems, phone accessories, instant messaging applications and others.
These are a few of the interesting results. Do you agree?
- The power bank is the most important phone accessory in Nigeria.
- Whatsapp is the preferred instant messaging app
- Battery life is the most considered factor for phone purchases
- Browsing/E-Mail is the most popular phone activity (a result which was highly contested)
We look forward to Jumia’s Mobile Week Megathon with price slashes on all phones sold. It’s scheduled to take place from June 1 to 7, 2015. Don’t miss out!
