How To Prepare Green Smoothie

#WeekendPleasures with a blend of greens.

Here’s a good way to start your day, with something different from the usual banana and pineapple smoothies and the like. Here’s a blend of greens: cucumber, baby spinach, ginger, lemon juice and green apples. The apple would serve as a sweetener but you may substitute with a sweeter fruit.

Ingredients

  • 50g baby spinach
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 cucumbers
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • Grated ginger
  • 1 bunch mint leaves

Method

  • Wash the fruits and vegetables.
  • Slice the cucumber and apples for easy blending.
  • Blend the spinach, apples, cucumber, ginger and mint leaves in a smoothie blender.
  • Add the lemon juice and blend again.
  • Serve cold.
