British Prime Minister Theresa May Visits Nigeria
British Prime Minister, Theresa May, visited Nigeria for the first time ever on Wednesday, August 2018. The Prime Minister, who had been in South Africa the day before, where she met with President Cyril Ramaphosa, is embarking on her first-ever official trip to some Sub-Saharan African countries. While in Nigeria, she held talks with President Buhari about the welfare of the country and about the upcoming elections. On the elections, President Buhari said, “I assure you that I’m all out for free, fair, and credible elections. I’m very pleased that my party is doing very well”.
“The High Commissioner will brief you more. The recent successes in polls in Kastina, Bauchi, and Jos have boosted our morale greatly. Nigeria has accepted multiparty democracy and that is putting politicians on their toes, forcing them to work harder,” stated the president.
The President acknowledged the UK government for their support for the anti-corruption campaign in Nigeria. “We had great opportunities and resources between 1999 and 2014, due to high oil prices. But when we came in 2015, oil prices plunged to as low as 37 dollars per barrel.
“What we have been doing since 2015 is to focus on infrastructure development, despite low earnings. Work is ongoing in roads, rail, power, and many others.” He said.
The President also commended Britain for its role in aiding the country in its fight against insurgency in the North-East. During the meeting, Nigeria and Britain signed a security and defence partnership, and an Economic Development Forum Agreement.

It’s cool to see our president and governors welcome the British prime minister in a big way to nigeria but I’ve just never seen Theresa may welcome our president in a big way and he goes to London a lot. We need to start treating people the way they treat us..

So, which is the better optics:
Davido in the NYSC camp being treated like a regular otondo. Waiting in line, carrying his box on the head and kneeling, etc (much like the British royals)
Or
Davido being given obvious preferential treatment? pic.twitter.com/KJMLMdnC4l

When i got to NYSC camp, first thing they told me to do was to carry my luggage on my head and double up (run) to the hostel.
Davido got to camp, the first thing he did was to use the mic to address other corpers.
Equality for all😭😭😭😭😭

I guess this is part of the hypocrisy and crassly flawed feminism that DJ Cuppy was referring to…
What a big shame… 😫☹️☹️☹️ pic.twitter.com/EG33HqdU0v

Leave DJ Cuppy alone.
Face your bitterness in peace.
She doesn’t want to be among women who hate men for no justifiable reason because that’s much of the feminism we see in Nigeria & Twitter.
Even Linda Ikeji who asked y’all to stay celibate was collecting prick low key.
😈😈

Can we all agree to stop crucifying celebrities when they say shit that’s outside their realm of expertise. DJ Cuppy is literally paid to play music and make you dance. Don’t be surprised when she doesn’t give the best answers regarding feminism.

Before you insult & drag DJ Cuppy that helps several Women out there for not agreeing with your opinion on Feminism take your house girl to school…
You Cant drag a Practical Feminist when you are a Data Feminist
— KinG NomSo👑 (@ani_nomso) August 30, 2018
Dj cuppy thinks people look down on her in her industry because she is a woman but at this same time she doesn’t think feminism will solve that issue..😂😂😂 time out please
