App Of The Week: Privedoc

Privedoc is a medical app that has been established to enable patients consult doctors, nurses, or Physiotherapists right from the comfort of their homes. The app was founded by Lanre Olaitan, a Clinical entrepreneur, and an emergency medical doctor. He founded the app with the aim to “eliminate the need to travel and see a doctor” which will, in turn, enable patients get adequate medical attention in real time.

Powered by Nigeria Health Digital Service, Privedoc is replete with top class Nigeria doctors who are highly trained and have been certified in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. The app has won several UK Government awards such as the Innovative UK DIGITAL CATALYST. Also, it has received a N135 million (283,000 British Pounds) grant from four UK agencies including Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, Innovative UK, and Oxford Innovation Opportunity Network.

Meet the App

Once the app has been downloaded from Google Play store or the Apple App store, patients can have a chat with a doctor within 90 seconds. Privedoc’s technology gives room for patients to video call or web chat with a medical professional anytime they want. Upon request, patients can also enjoy face-to-face meetings with doctors from Privedoc’s subsidiary, Lamjay Health and other partner hospitals around the country. The app has been optimally digitised to meet the modern demands of patients such as instant medical care and a highly functioning archive system to ensure that patients can continually enjoy quality healthcare services.

Privedoc has a very clean interface which aligns with the service’s goal: to ensure that patients can see doctors as fast as possible. Once you download the app, it will request your details such as your name, phone number, and date of birth. Once you have provided the necessary details, the app will usher you to its homepage where you can see all the services it offers at a glance with very affordable prices attached to them:

You can also book an appointment with a doctor by setting the date and time you would like to meet them.

Privedoc has been designed to make the process of healthcare simple and straightforward and it takes this a step further by providing a “Tutorial” icon which shows you everything you need to know about the app and how you can easily navigate through it. You can access this icon by clicking the top left corner of the app’s homepage.

In terms of simplicity and efficiency, Privedoc rates really high among other medical apps in Nigeria. It has so many awesome reviews from impressed users who have benefited from its services.
