Efforts of the Nigeria Olympic Committee Athletes Commission towards fighting the corona virus pandemic have been hailed by the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach. In a bid to sensitize the public on the corona virus pandemic, the NOC made a video of Nigerian athletes creating awareness about the virus, something Bach hailed Nigeria as being the first country to do and urged other countries to emulate the West African nation. The video which went viral on social media platforms after being posted by Athletes365 and the Olympic Channel is undoubtedly a means of making the global population aware of what to do to curtail the spread of the deadly virus.
