Mobile apps have become very popular in the last fifteen years and the rise in popularity of apps has gone hand in hand with the dominance of the smartphone in every facet of human existence. An entire class of professionals have been spurned thanks to mobile apps from coders (front and backend) to designers, project managers and even digital designers. Beyond that, however, an update avails you to new features and an incrementally better user interface is part of the package. Since apps are a continuous stream of income for a certain group of pros as we earlier said, users, tend to vote on the usefulness and utility of the app by updating so customer satisfaction depends on how well the builders continue to iterate in design and functionality.
More importantly, updates are not optional but a necessity as if one does not do it for about three months, the app becomes useless to the user and even starts crashing on impulse. If you do not update your WhatsApp for instance, in a matter of months you will have to endure crashes and even stop using the app altogether.
