NECO Set To Resume On Monday

Following the gradual return to normalcy after the #EndSARS protests which brought activities in the country to a temporary halt, the National Examination Council, NECO, has revealed that the suspended NECO exams will restart on Monday, November 9th, 2020, in all parts of the nation. It should be recalled that the examinations were temporarily suspended on Monday, October 25, 2020, due to the EndSARS protests that disrupted the movement of examination materials in all parts of the federation.

In an official statement on Monday, November 2nd, 2020, NECO’s Head of Information and Public Relations Division, Mr Azeez Sani, revealed that it is time for students to recommence the suspended examination.

‘The National Examinations Council (NECO) wishes to inform candidates, schools and other stakeholders of the resumption of the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in all states and the FCT from Monday, November 9, 2020. The council was constrained to postpone the examinations indefinitely on Monday, October 25, 2020, due to security challenges occasioned by the #EndSARS protests, which disrupted the smooth conduct of the examinations in some parts of the country.’
