RG Cabs is a ride-hailing service that specialises in 24/7 intrastate transport. This company was founded by Iguagbonmwen, Clinton Osarogie in 2017. According to their website,

In an interview with Clinton Osarogie, vital questions about his brand and its viability were answered. He explained why customers should patronise his brand, though relatively unknown. He revealed that his brand, RG Cabs, comes with packages which afford riders the opportunity to reach their destination with as low as 280 Naira.
Osarogie also stated how distinct his brand’s features are from other ride-hailing services. Below are the contents of the interview.
Tell us about your brand
RG CABS Company LTD/QuickGo is a Ride hailing/sharing app that connects Riders to different ride options. RG CABS Company LTD started first as an Idea that became an obsession to see a real value created in the transportation sector. We were resolute in our drive to bring the needed improvement and innovation that will enable individuals and businesses to thrive on the heels of efficient and secure transportation service.
How does your brand work for customers?
Everybody living in our cities of operations can get a ride for as low as N280. it’s merely to download our mobile app (QuickGo), fund your wallet, book a ride, and pay.
What is the motivation behind setting up your brand?
In a country with over 206m people moving around has become more difficult and expensive, so the need for an affordable, safe, and efficient means of transportation is imminent, we offer 4 categories of ride options, and this gives the riders options to choose (according to their budget) from when requesting for a ride.
- The Light category which affords riders the opportunity to reach their destination with a minimum of 280 Naira.
- The Executive category with a minimum of 350 Naira.
- The Mini Van category which operates at a minimum cost of 400 Naira. Here, a group of 6-8 persons can order for a mini-van and save themselves the cost of having to spend more by reaching their destination separately.
- The QuickGo Buses. This package operates at a minimum cost of 450 Naira. People could order for buses for their journeys here and experience comfort at a very cheap cost compared to travelling with public buses.

What is your brand reach (Lagos alone or the entire federation)?
For now, RG Cabs operates just in two states (Rivers state and Edo state). We are available online in the whole of River State except Portharcourt where we operate offline. In Edo State. However, we operate only in Benin City, both offline and online. We’re looking to expand with time across Nigeria, Africa, and International.
What are the number of jobs your brand is set to create from start?
At RG CABS COMPANY LTD our goal is to use our innovative transportation solution to drive economic growth in every city we are. We’re looking to create a lot of jobs as we would be having drivers work on the platforms. We are looking at a projection of 1000 drivers. In addition, we have 5 office staff in Benin while in Portharcourt, we have 8.
What is unique about your brand when compared to other hailing services?
With the country heading into its second recession and with the current state of the economy, a transport system that gives its riders the opportunity to choose a ride option according to their pocket is much welcome. We have also included the News and blog section on the app. Every first timer in each city (including tourist) can get an overview of the city from that section, as we have the top5 hotels, clubs, and hangout spot all listed out, updated weekly.
A major challenge confronting hailing services in Nigeria is the issue of customers safety especially for women with many cases of sexual harassment reported by customers of other ride-hailing services. Did you make any provision for tackling this?
We have created a reference system whereby each driver registers at least 1 person as his or her Guarantor. Both driver and guarantor addresses are visited, this enables us to know the driver’s better. We have trainings and tests for the drivers before being admitted into the platform. We have a 24/7 customer care representative to talk to drivers and also reply messages from the customers.
What is your future projection in terms of customer reach?
More than 2k downloads of our mobile app by the end of the year.
