In its first season, twelve teams will be split into two conferences in which they’ll play five games apiece. At the end of the conference games, the top three teams from each conference will make it through to the Super 6.

Subsequently, in the Super 6, all teams will play in a round-robin competition to decide the four teams that will go through to the final four. The final four will be played in a single-elimination tournament format in which the BAL champion will be decided.
