Ajagba, 26, recently made public his intention to fight fellow Nigerian boxer and World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, for his numerous titles (WBA, IBF, WBO). He went further to note that he posses superior boxing skills than Anthony Joshua, something he believes is an edge for him if presented with the opportunity to fight Joshua. ‘The people would support Joshua because he is the heavyweight champ. Skill would beat Joshua, not power. I and Joshua both have the power, but skills control the power. I have more skills.’
It will be recalled that Ajagba was Nigeria’s sole representative during the Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016 where he finished in the quarter-final.
