Saif Terry who netted a hat trick against the Peoples Elephant was not done with them as he gifted the visitors the lead in the eight-minute of the encounter. However, the home side would only be left behind for six minutes as Victor Mbaoma handed them the equalizer ahead of a possible comeback. Meanwhile, Rivers United is still awaiting CAF’s verdict over their postponed second-leg CAF Confederations Cup encounter against South Africa’s Bloemfontein Celtics, a match which did not hold due to the inability of the Nigeria Football Federation to secure a waiver for the South Africans due to COVID-19 restrictions.
